"Coherence and Polarization Properties of Light in Time and Frequency Domains"

Coherence and polarization properties of light have been subjects of interest for long time. Decades of meticulous research has established that they are manifestation of correlations in optical fields. The statistical theories of optical coherence and of optical polarization have been developed both in the time and in the frequency domains. In this talk, we discuss some basic aspects of the theories. We also highlight some newly obtained results which elucidate the relationship between the theories in the two domains.
