"Photophysics of the Nitrogen-Vacancy Center in Diamond"

Dr. Sean Blakley

The unique optical properties of the nitrogen--vacancy (NV) center in diamond have been exploited to create magnetometers and thermometers with leading edge sensitivity, spatial resolution, and detection bandwidth. This presentation will explore the physical mechanisms governing the NV center's sensing applications.
