Research Interests:

Jonathan has a profound interest in foundations of physics, including quantum mechanics, biophysics and quantum biology. He works on the foundations of the phase-space formulation of quantum mechanics and application of quantum methods to classical waves. Also, he has developed a particle model for Snell's law and has shown Snell's law has hidden inside it a variable-mass particle of light.

He has published works on application of quantum methods to classical systems, classical waves, and on Newton's corpuscular theory of Snell's law and refraction.
